Yellow-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus malabaricus)

Common Name: Yellow-wattled Lapwing
Scientific Name: Vanellus malabaricus
Identification: Black cap with a white ring around it. Wattles on the face
Habitat: Found in dry stony and open grassland or scrub habitats. They are ground birds like other lapwings and plovers
Feeding: Feed on insects and invertebrates
Location: Bundala National park, Sri Lanka
